Carl's Christmas Puzzle: 2012

Welcome to the 2012 edition of Carl's Christmas Puzzle. If you're wondering what all of this is about, you can read the history of my Christmas puzzles.

I constructed this puzzle specifically for my sons to solve, but I'm sharing it here in case anyone else is interested in it. When my boys solved this puzzle, their goal was to identify who was the intended recipient of each Christmas gift.

For this particular puzzle, if you're trying to solve it on your own, your goal should really just be to find where and how the relevant information is hiding. I will say that when you find the real information, you'll know that you've really found it, (even without knowing my boys). But the final step of taking that information and assigning it to each of my boys couldn't feasibly be achieved by anyone outside of our family.

If you do solve this puzzle, (or attempt it and need a hint), I'd love to hear about it. Please feel free to email me: Carl Worth <cworth@cworth.org>

Christmas 2012 was the first year that QR codes featured prominently in my Christmas puzzles, (they've been a recurring theme since). This year each present was labeled with nothing more than a single QR code. I haven't reproduced the original QR codes here. Instead, I've just provided direct links to the web pages the QR codes linked to:

Have fun, and happy puzzling!
